| Bio: | Ahem. Let's get to the point, as I cannot be bothered waffling on about anything that isn't relevant right now. I write. For leisure, and (technically) for profession. That makes me sound like an author by trade. Oh how I do wish. No, I'm just studying a course of Professional Writing & Editing (how brilliant does that sound with the 'Professional' added on? Plus, that ampersand doesn't look too shabby, either), while writing on the side, and aiming at becoming a published author. This journal will not involve me waffling on about the events of my life (however balls-vicingly fantastic it may be), but instead a repository (dumping ground) for any of my little stories/snippets I happen to deem sharable. Snippets from The Neitherworld series, anyway. Which brings me to what I write. I am pursuing several major projects at the moment, but we'll just focus on one series called The Neitherworld (and not the three volume novel called 'The Most Heinous Case of Avery Vice', or the satire 'Of Patrons and Protagonists', or my constantly expanding bog of concepts). It is absurdist fiction (if I started explaining the genre, you'd never get me to stop, so just look it up) and technically fantasy. The way I often explain it when pressed for time is as a cross between Lewis Carrol's 'Alice's Adventures in Wonderland' and Douglas Adams' 'The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy', but it really is so much more than that. Basically, it follows another world separate from ours which basically goes by the concept that if you can explain it in a way which seems logical, it will work (more often than not, anyway). The only way you'll really be able to figure it out is if you read the stories here. Or ask me, and happen to have a few hours to spare. So, go ahead and enjoy what I have on offer. Or don't enjoy it. But either way, you should read it. I'd like any and all critique (-constructive- criticism, please) there is to offer. Note: I may or may not post actual chapters of the books here. It'll mostly be short stories and snippets of longer pieces. You may or may not learn some editing skills from reading this journal. | |||||||
